Tournament Structure, Points and Blinds Schedule

Regular Season Tournament Structure

Each season shall consist of 12 regular season events, a Second Chance Qualifying Event, and the Championship Main Event. Players will have the opportunity to accrue both base points and bonus points during each regular season event, which ultimately will determine who will advance to the season's Championship Final Table. Each regular season event game will consist of 21 rounds, with each player receiving 25,000 starting chips. As this is a home league, regular season events are limited to 24 players (three tables of eight players).

Base Points

Base points will be awarded to each player during the regular season events based on their nightly performance. Points will accumulate over the course of the season with the top point leaders at the end of the regular season moving onto the Championship Main Event. Base points will be awarded as follows:

1st Place: 100 pts.
2nd Place: 91 pts.
3rd Place: 83 pts.
4th Place: 76.5 pts.
5th Place: 71 pts.
6th Place: 65.5 pts.
7th Place: 61 pts.
8th Place: 57 pts.
9th Place: 53.5 pts.
10th Place: 50 pts.
11th Place: 47 pts.
12th Place: 44.5 pts.
13th Place: 42 pts.
14th Place: 39.5 pts.
15th Place: 37 pts.
16th Place: 35 pts.
17th Place: 33.5 pts.
18th Place: 32 pts.
19th Place: 30.5 pts.
20th Place: 29 pts.
21st Place: 28 pts.
22nd Place: 27 pts.
23rd Place: 26 pts.
24th Place: 25 pts.

Each player's points will accumulate over the course of 12 regular season events, with every player also having the opportunity to earn bonus points throughout the course of the season.

Bonus Points / Bounty

Players will have the opportunity to earn bonus points throughout the course of the season. Bonus points will be awarded according to the following:

  • Each player eliminated: 1 bonus point
  • Eliminating the previous event's winner: 5 bonus points
  • High hand of the night : 2.5 bonus point

Every event, every player will be worth bounty points. Each player eliminated will be worth one point. Whoever eliminates the last tournament's winner will receive 5 bonus point in addition to their base points earned. In the case that the first place winner is absent, then the bounty shall be placed on the player who finished in second place at the previous tournament. If the last tournament's winner is not eliminated and wins the current tournament, then no bonus point shall be awarded. The bounty point shall carry over to the next tournament and the bounty will be worth 10 bonus points.

The final way to earn bonus points is to hold the high hand of the night. Whoever holds the highest ranking hand through the course of the tournament will earn an additional 2.5 points along with their base points earned. This bonus does not apply to hands on the board or split pots, unless both players' cards play. If both players' cards play, then both players will receive the 2.5 bonus point. If only one player's cards play, then that player shall be awarded the bonus point.

No bounties will be awarded during a heads-up tournament, however the high hand bonus will still be awarded.

Tournament Structure and Blinds

Throughout the season, we will play different variations of poker, including Hold'em, Omaha, Stud, HORSE and heads-up tournaments. Each regular season tournament (except heads-up) will consist of 21 rounds of various time limits, with 10 minute breaks approximately every hour. If a winner has not been declared after 21 rounds, all remaining players' chips will be counted and winners will be declared according to chip count.
